Return To The Rising Sun - July 2022

It felt great to get back to Japan after all this time!

All three shows at Club Citta, Kawasaki were sold out and each one of them took off like a thousand rockets! The audiences were full of enthusiasm and the all the band members played at their ecstatic best...

It was terrific to see all our friends in Japan too, and to visit more extraordinary places. The beautiful Zen Buddhist Sojiji Temple / Monastery which our pal Mikari showed Jo and me gave a wonderful sense of peace. In the tree-lined grounds on a small hill was also a small Shinto shrine. It intrigues me that Shinto shrines are often situated within the complex of Buddhist temples, showing mutual tolerance, respect and connection between two religions. Nad then joined us on our visit to the Inage Jinja Shinto shrine near our hotel... those glorious gateways shining in the hot midday sun.

As always, it was a special time in Japan. Many thanks to Nobu, Miyuki, Maayu and everyone involved with Club Citta. We very much look forward to returning as soon as possible.
