Northern Europe tour part one: Heading North…
As we flew out to Paris, the first location of our Northern Europe tour, we felt that excitement we always have in that beautiful city. Jo and I enjoyed a fun walk up to the Arc de Triomphe, one of those wonderful Paris landmarks. The sold out show that night went off like a dream with a fantastic crowd.
All the shows that followed from Brussels on to Malmo and Copenhagen went were equally powerful. Both Lalle Larsson on keys and Felix Lehrmann on drums have added a whole new dynamic. The whole band was totally on fire and the vibe throughout was explosive!
As always, we enjoyed Brussels and ensured we had time to visit the spectacular Grande Place with those regal old buildings with ornate rooftops and gold shining above high windows. Of course, we had to taste those fantastic waffles again too!
Off to Malmo, the band flew but the two of us along with tour manager Adrian and driver Rob drove, stopping overnight on the way in Bremen at the gorgeous hotel we know in a park with a lake and fountain view. As before, we took a ferry from Germany to Denmark and then drove over that spectacular bridge across the sea to Sweden.
Both Malmo and Copenhagen have a great vibe with all the boats and waterways, and many picturesque old buildings.
Now looking forward to all the German shows and places…
