North America Tour Blog - Magnificent Mountains and Spectacular Shows

From Boulder and Phoenix, on to LA, San Diego, Oakland, Seattle and Portland, all the shows have continued to have an amazing vibe with fantastic crowds!

Both Jo and I felt excited when we reached Boulder... Such a vibrant and creative place, in a wonderful setting. We joined pals Mansoor and Hina on a road trip up into the nearby mountains, many of which were snowcapped, overlooking beautiful deep blue lakes.

Once we arrived in Phoenix, our pals Leigh and Franck drove us to Sedona, which is one of the most stunning spots of the world, with its monumental deep red natural formations and its spiritual vortexes. We feel totally uplifted in this amazing zone of magical beauty.

Following the show at the fun Celebrity Theatre, Phoenix, we drove through some wonderful desert landscape on our way to LA... There we met several friends, including Armando Gallo, who shot many fabulous photos for Genesis, and he has now put together his own Lamb Lies Down on Broadway book of photos. Worth checking out! The two Orpheum shows were a great success...

We enjoyed San Diego too, particularly during a break in the clouds when you could feel a moment of summer-like warmth!

Following a long drive to Berkeley, we saw more pals and had a lot of fun playing in the beautiful Fox Theatre, with such a warm crowd!

On the journey up to Seattle, we passed by fire-destroyed, charred black forests and flooded fields, a reminder of today's volatile climate. But then we were enthralled by the beauty of the forested hills and mountains, and in particular the spectacular volcano, Mount Shasta.

It was great to catch up with pals in Seattle and terrific to play once again in the atmospheric and allegedly haunted Moore Theatre... The crowd response there was extraordinary!

The last gig of the tour in Portland was equally powerful! It was also Roger King's last show with us and we'll for sure miss him. He's been working with me for thirty years, he's an extraordinary musical talent and he remains a great pal.

It's been a wonderful tour of North America, with the most amazing crowds and the band on full throttle! Everyone has been so welcoming too...

My thanks to Wayne of Entourage Talent and his team, to all the promotors, to Brian and Adrian, and to the whole band, our incredibly hard working crew, and to everyone who made this fantastic tour possible! I very much look forward to returning soon with a new tour!
