With them is Tobby the cat!
Playing our first gig at Zeltfestival near Bochum in Germany with the new set, we were thrilled to receive such a fantastic reaction from the crowd. The second show in Stockholm went equally well. The excitement with both solo and Genesis numbers created an electric atmosphere...
It was good to have some time off too. Jo and I visited Nad in his wood clad home outside Stockholm in forested hills near a sizeable lake. He played us his new album, which we recommend! In Oslo we walked to the harbour beside the futuristic opera house with views of the tree-lined fjord beyond the city. I enjoy getting a real feel for a place particularly when exploring parts I never had a chance to visit before.
The shows in both Gothenburg and Malmö had a great vibe. Scenic Scandinavian drives through fjords and forests were fantastic in the sunshine, and crossing the impressive bridge from Malmö to Copenhagen with our pals Angéla and Maurizio was breathtaking. What a beautiful city! We always think of those Hans Christian Anderson fairytales, and it's poignant now to remember visiting the Little Mermaid statue when we joined Chris Squire and his wife Scotty when Yes was playing at the Amager Bio.
The Amager Bio show was terrific - always a fabulous crowd!
And so on to Hamburg, one time home of early Beatles...
