Following a thunderous gig in Basel, we took the train to Paris. On arrival the sun burst through clouds, and Paris shone like a sparkling jewel. Jo and I took a walk past the Place de la Concorde, Les Tuileries, the Louvre, and back to the hotel via the beautiful Greek Style Madeleine. A fantastic city, and the crowd that night were just as amazing... What a show! I had played at the Olympia venue before with Genesis, also once home to The Beatles and Edith Piaf. Her ghost supposedly still haunts the little artist's bar, which keeps its old Parisienne character...

On to Brussels, we got to visit La Grande Place briefly before diving into the next show... Once again a real blinder! I love the way the Belgian audience hums along with the flute on Supper's Ready.

Off the train and into a bus, we continued through picturesque Uden in Holland, and on to Hamburg and Berlin for two more German shows. All three gigs went like a dream. The band are really in their stride now and the light show is going from strength to strength too... Ray Wilson joined us again in Berlin. It was great to hook up again and hear his fabulous voice, and special to celebrate in such a vibrant city!

Once again, my thanks to the agents and promotors.

And so on to sun drenched Italy...
