Farnham fanfares and Brighton rocks - February 2012

Steve and Amanda, Farnham

Steve celebrates his birthday!
Yours truly and band kicked off the Blighty tour at Farnham Maltings to a fantastic homecoming crowd (including extended family) who once again braved the snowy blizzard that seems to arrive for our winter tours... It's always a thrill to play Genesis' home turf especially when the band is on such great form, though I felt a little rusty not having played the full 'Shrouded' set for a while!
The Brighton show fell on 12th Feb, my birthday. The crowd spontaneously sang happy birthday and then the band played it too, along with cake and balloons from Nick Clabburn and dear JoJo. Nigel and Doug from Saxon dropped by, as did Roger Dean of artwork fame. A great bash was had by all. The Komedia is a fave venue as is its counterpart theatre of the same name in Bath, a few days away.
Gateshead and Aberdeen beckon as well as the rest of our 'Sceptered Isle'...
