Steve in Stockholm old town

Travelling across the Baltic Sea from Estonia to Finland was totally atmospheric, archipelagos of islands appearing one by one through a strange heavy fog... But the Helsinki show that night was hot, bright and jumping with fiery excitement. The crowd was wild and the band on a high!

The following day we flew to Stockholm, and had the chance to breathe with a night off. Jo and I visited the city's old town, a joy to explore. The walk took us across the majestic river into narrow cobbled streets between fabulous picturesque houses. There was another incredible audience reaction that night in the beautiful Nalen venue with its tall Grecian pillars. Particularly special for Nad and Jonas to be there, heroes amongst their fellow Swedes...

Both Oslo and Gothenburg were also sell out shows, with a fantastic vibe! It was wonderful to travel through the Swedish and Norwegian scenery, with its dramatic rocky landscapes, pine forests, spectacular lakes and Fjords. Then over that extraordinary bridge across the sea from Sweden to Denmark... straight into "wonderful wonderful" Copenhagen... such a beautiful city with characterful and colourful old buildings, bridges and waterways. It's always great to play at the Amager Bio, crowd as ecstatic as ever!

This time we stayed in Denmark, crossing another enormous bridge over the sea, this time between Danish islands. Then on to Odense, once home of Hans Christian Anderson. Jo and I wandered those tiny old streets around his birthplace and enjoyed seeking out statues of characters from his unforgettable fables and fairytales...

The band was on great form and we had a fabulously exciting reception at both the Odense and Aarhus shows...

Scandinavia has been a total joy and as ever we look forward to returning as soon as possible!
