Acoustic Trio at Steve Hackett Event

Steve goes electric at Steve Hackett Event
After a brief stop at the hotel after the 400 mile journey before climbing back into our transport of delight with Captain Coles at the helm, we wove through wooded hills, ruined castles and past white deer, before finally reaching our destination - the Hackett Event venue in Werenzhouse.
The reception from the fans was as warm as the weather was idyllic. I was looking forward to working with brother John's magic flute once again with Roger for the acoustic gig, which again lived up to its promise. The Watch also put in a strong performance, as the show rolled into the night.
The following morning we breakfasted al fresco in the farmhouse hotel courtyard beside the rushing stream. Joined by our Italian friends who had made the pilgrimage across the Alps, Jo, Amanda and I explored the beautiful turn back world environment and fed the gaggling geese - a moment of calm before returning to the excitement of the event.
Nick Magnus and John played an exquisite acoustic set, followed by the twelve string duo Nico evoking many Genesis/Hackett memories. Roger, Gary, Nick, Amanda, Rob and I then launched in with full electric band. Between band and audience, the atmosphere was truly electric and we enjoyed every minute. The temperature onstage must have reached 100 degrees farenheit. The hot club d'Anglais en France encore une frois mes amis...
A fantastic Event with extended solos and extended family. A big thank you in particular to Paul and Carole Herlitschka and also to all those who helped to organise and bring it all home.
