Since re-opening the Musical Box earlier this year to re-live the magic of the band I was once involved with, between shows I've been working flat out on Genesis Revisited II. It's now reached the mixing stage and Roger is working from early morning to late evening each day to bring it in on time...

Several amazingly talented artists have jumped aboard this album with me, including Steven Wilson, Michael Akerfeldt, John Wetton, Nik Kershaw, Simon Collins, Nad Sylvan, Dave Kerzner, Francis Dunnery, Neal Morse, Conrad Keely, Jakko Jakszyk, Steve Rothery, Roine Stolt, Jeremy Stacey, John Hackett, Nick Magnus, Nick Beggs, Lee Pomeroy, Phil Mulford, Roger King, Gary O'Toole, Amanda Lehmann, Rob Townsend, all members of Hungarian band Djabe, and string players Dick Driver, Christine Townsend and Rachel Ford. Some recorded their parts separately and sent them in whilst others came into the studio, and Roger has brought it all together. Lately Ben Fenner has been involved simultaneously to record the last lot of stuff I had to do. It's been like having more than one camera unit on a feature film, with me trotting backwards and forwards between the two!

As you can guess, it's a large album - two long CDs, and the LP version will include four vinyls. But the work put into it has been intensive as well because of the need to put real care and time into every track.

The track list includes four of my Genesis-influenced pieces, as well as the Genesis music, which involves tracks spanning the era of my involvement with Genesis between Nursery Cryme and Wind and Wuthering. They're all different to those on the first Genesis Revisited album and the full list will be up on the website soon. The longest album I've ever done will be released in the Autumn...
