I was thrilled to announce my upcoming Seconds Out tour with a wonderful new photo by extraordinary photographer Armando Gallo, who took the original photo for Genesis' Seconds Out album cover. In our recent one, which he took for us last year at the iconic Orpheus Theatre in LA, he and our lighting designer Chris Curran together wove their magic to emulate the same look.
Armando and his lovely wife Cheryl are great friends with Jo and me. Armando was Italian born and now lives in LA, frequently taking photos at major Hollywood events for media.
He often joined Genesis to take his exceptional photos. All of us in the band became pals with Armando and it was fun to sometimes travel around together.
He's not just one of the most fabulous photographers in the world but also a tremendous character. He and I have had some incredible times together. I remember one fabulously crazy day when we both tried out a rollercoaster which travelled at great speed backwards, doing a loop the loop! That has always been Armando, living life to the full...
